Capturing nature’s beauty in jewelry is artist Michael Michaud’s strong point. He has done it again capturing the unique beauty of sea shells. This bracelet is based on Razor shells. This bracelet is great for anyone who loves nature, dunes, the beach, summer, simplicity, or unique handcrafted art jewelry. The bracelet is cast from bronze and then patinaed with sterling silver and 24kt gold for a realistic white and golden look. The bracelet measures approximately 7” long with an extender that allows it to expend to 8” to fit most wrists. The bracelet is approximately .75” wide. This bracelet matches well with Michael’s Razor Shell pieces and Les Coquilles pieces. This bracelet was created in the USA by talented jewelry artist Michael Michaud as part of his Silver Seasons collection. This bracelet comes with a glossy black gift box with our store label that is great for giving and storage for years to come. Razor Shells

Razor Shells live in deep, vertical, permanent burrows in fine, sometimes muddy, sand from extreme low water to the shallow sub littoral. The presence of razor shells in sand is indicated by keyhole shaped openings made by short, united siphons which extend just above the sediment surface when the animal is feeding.

Artist Michael Michaud was born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Westport, Connecticut. He currently resides in Fairfield, CT with his wife and children. Michael studied at the Rochester Institute of Technology's prestigious school for American craftsmen, graduating in 1980. In 1991, fortunate enough to be living in the Connecticut countryside and working near New York City's flower district, Michael's love of nature began to combine with his love of jewelry. Today's collection is a combination of Michael's exceptional knowledge of jewelry making and his love of nature. He has perfected the technique of creating models from natural elements and, after models are made, manipulating these "copies of nature" into beautiful jewelry. Using bronze, sterling silver or gold and natural stones and pearls, Michael's designs have become well known for their remarkable craftsmanship and beauty.
