Michael Michaud Silver Seasons Venus shell necklace captures the unique beauty of nature. The shell is in a gorgeous yellow gold color Michael calls yellow sand. The shell has a fresh water pearl inside. The necklace reminds people of the elegance of shells. The necklace is great for anyone who loves nature, beaches, fish, or unique handcrafted art jewelry. This has also been a popular piece for cruises and weddings. The shell is cast from bronze and than hand patinaed with gold over silver. Michael Michaud hand patinas the chains to match his pendants. This chain is approximately 18” and features an extender that allows the necklace to expand to 19.5”. This allows the necklace to work with many different types on necklines. The shell pendant is approximately .5” long and .5” wide. The necklace was created in the USA by talented jewelry artist Michael Michaud as part of his Silver Seasons collection. The necklace comes with a glossy black gift box with our store label that is great for giving and storage for years to come. The necklace also comes with an information card that states the following:

Shells

While many sea animals produce exoskeletons, usually only those of mollusks are normally considered to be “sea shells”. Shells will grow over time as the animal inside adds its building material to the leading edge near the opening. This causes the shell to become longer and wider to better accommodate the growing animal inside. Each species of mollusk animal will build the external shell in specific shape, pattern ornamentation, and color. Mollusk shells are very durable and often outlast the animal that produced them by thousands of years.

Bronze in pink tones of Silver over Copper (some with pink rhodochrosite)or, gold tones or Gold over Silver (some with Amazonite) and freshwater pearls. Hand Made in USA.
