So unique! This realistic miniature hand patinaed cherry necklace is sure to catch the eye of lots of people. The cherry leaves are hand patinaed a gorgeous green well the cherries are a hand formed red glass. The cherries even have a dimple! The chain has even been hand patinaed to match this great pendant. Michael was inspired by a panel decorated with cherries in the Green Dining Room at the Victoria and Albert Museum. The cherry pendant measures approximately 1.75” long by 1” across or approximately 45 mm tall by 25mm across. The hand patinaed sterling silver snake chain measures approximately16” and extends to 17.5” with an extender this is approximately 41 cm without the extender and 44 cm with the extender. This necklace was created in the USA by talented jewelry artist Michael Michaud as part of his Silver Seasons jewelry collection. This necklace comes with a gift box that is great for giving and storage for years to come. The cherry tree is a delight in all seasons but especially in summer, when it’s hung with a wonderful red fruit. These designs were inspired by a panel decorated with cherries in the Green Dining Room at the Victoria and Albert Museum, designed by the firm Morris, Marshall, Faulkner and Co. in 1886. William Morris was a major influence on the Arts and Crafts Movement, which adopted many of his ideals on the value of hand craftsmanship and the maintaining of truth and honesty in the materials of production. Licensed by the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, England. Available in hand patinaed bronze with hand formed glass beads.

Artist Michael Michaud was born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Westport, Connecticut. He currently resides in Fairfield, CT with his wife and children. Michael studied at the Rochester Institute of Technology's prestigious school for American craftsmen, graduating in 1980. In 1991, fortunate enough to be living in the Connecticut countryside and working near New York City's flower district, Michael's love of nature began to combine with his love of jewelry. Today's collection is a combination of Michael's exceptional knowledge of jewelry making and his love of nature. He has perfected the technique of creating models from natural elements and, after models are made, manipulating these "copies of nature" into beautiful jewelry. Using bronze, sterling silver or gold and natural stones and pearls, Michael's designs have become well known for their remarkable craftsmanship and beauty.
