Michael Michaud’s La Mer collection is based on the scales of the Marlin. The La Mer collection utilizes organic shapes and textures. It is gold tone in color. The pendant is cast in bronze with 24kt gold over silver plate. The look is truly unique. It is great for any one that loves gold, textures, or beautiful hand crafted artisan jewelry. This pendant is large measuring just over 3” long by over one inch wide. The long chain has been patinaed to match the pendant. The pendant measures 24” and has an extender that allows the necklace to extend to 25.5”. This necklace was created in the USA by talented jewelry artist Michael Michaud as part of his Silver Seasons collection. The necklace comes with a glossy black gift box with our store label that is great for giving and storage for years to come. The necklace also comes with an information card that states the following:

This collection was designed utilizing the scales of the Marlin. This magnificent game fish is greatly coveted by sports fishers and trophy hunters. The Blue Marlin is cobalt blue on top shading to silvery white on the bottom. Similar fish are the White and Black Marlin. They are found around the world.

Artist Michael Michaud was born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Westport, Connecticut. He currently resides in Fairfield, CT with his wife and children. Michael studied at the Rochester Institute of Technology's prestigious school for American craftsmen, graduating in 1980. In 1991, fortunate enough to be living in the Connecticut countryside and working near New York City's flower district, Michael's love of nature began to combine with his love of jewelry. Today's collection is a combination of Michael's exceptional knowledge of jewelry making and his love of nature. He has perfected the technique of creating models from natural elements and, after models are made, manipulating these "copies of nature" into beautiful jewelry. Using bronze, sterling silver or gold and natural stones and pearls, Michael's designs have become well known for their remarkable craftsmanship and beauty.
