Butterfly wing green, blue, purple sterling silver earrings

  A rainforest sustainable use product, these earrings are created from naturally expired butterfly wings and sterling silver. No butterflies are harmed. The wing is encased in glass so that you can see two sides of butterfly wings. The front wing is purple, blue, and black. The back sides of the earrings feature a green and brown wing.  The earrings measure approximately 1.75” long by .6” wide.  Please note that each wing is natural and may vary slightly from that pictured. These handmade earrings feature a hook style earwire that slips easily into the ear.

 These earrings make a great gift for anyone eco conscious or who loves butterflies.

They come from tropical butterfly farms within the rain forest and are gathered only after dying naturally. This is a rain forest “sustainable use” activity that helps preserve wild butterfly populations; provides needed income for the farmers; and helps save rain forests by giving them economic viability without being cut down. For 30 years we have created a variety of jewelry and other art works using butterflies and insects. They can be found in personal collections across the country, including those of many celebrities.
